Sarah Phinney is a 2009 graduate of Huron High School. She currently works at Newschannel 5 in Cleveland as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor. Sarah previously worked in Evansville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky before making her way back to northeast Ohio.
She loves being home!

Alaina Parkinson – 3rd Runner Up
Alaina Parkinson is the 14-year-old daughter of Elizabeth Johnson & Alfred Parkinson IV. This fall she will be a freshman at Huron High School where she is the Secretary of Student Council. Outside of school Aliana is involved in Erie County 4-H, Caryl Crane Youth Theatre, and St. Peter Catholic Church. She also is a volunteer for the Huron Parks & Recreation at Fabens Park. In 10 years Alaina sees herself as a college graduate and pursuing her dream of singing and acting. Alaina’s sponsors are Cush Café, CVF Doberman’s, Ganz Farms, Hillis Electric, NearCoastal.com, Parkinson Art, Riverview Lanes Bowling Alley, Sand Bar, and Vargo’s Drive In.
Faith Hofacker – 2n Runner Up
Faith is the 17-year-old daughter of Chris and Stephanie Hofacker. This fall she will be a senior at Huron High School where she is in the marching, concert, and pep band. She is a Huron High School Presidential Cabinet member and she is in the Huron High School Chorale. She has performed in many of the Huron High School musicals, received excellent and superior ratings in solos and ensembles for both band and choir every year since 7th grade. She is an active member in National Honor Society, Troubadours, AWANA Club, and Caryl Crane Youth Theatre. In 10 years, Faith sees herself with a degree in Music Education and in the beginning of her career as a band or choir director. Faith’s sponsors are Bennett’s Novelties and Lake Erie Arms.
Bridgette Winschel – 1st Runner Up
Bridgette is the 16-year-old daughter of Devon Winschel. This fall she will be a junior at Huron High School where she was a JV Cheerleader, runs Track & Field, is on the swim team, and is in the marching and pep band. She is also involved in Model UN, a member of Youth Caucus of America, a delegate for Junior State of America, and a counselor for STAR Leadership camp. In 10 years, Bridgette sees herself graduating from Duquesne University and starting an internship as an immigration lawyer at a law firm in either Pittsburgh, PA or San Diego, CA. Bridgette’s sponsor is Harbor Door.
Lydia Mischler – Queen
Lydia is the 16-year-old daughter of Chris & Kathyrn Mischler. This fall she will be a senior at Huron High School where she is a cheerleader and on the golf team. Lydia is a member of Huron Interact, Student Council, and National Honor Society. Outside of school Lydia is a student at Broadway Performing Arts Center and a member at First Presbyterian Church. She volunteers at Beulah Beach Day Camp, the Huron Chamber of Commerce, Rev 3, Mini Cheer Camp, Toys 4 Tots, Red Cross Blood Drives, and Santa Hustle Run. Lydia also volunteers at Shawnee Elementary School. In 10 years, Lydia sees herself either as a social worker or in a health care related field. Her desire is to have a positive impact in the community that she lives in. Lydia’s sponsor is Barnes Nursery.
Rileigh Richardson – Jr. Queen
Rileigh is the 12-year-old daughter of Steve & Kimberly Richardson. She is an OHDELA student and this fall she will be in the seventh grade. Riley enjoys reading, drawing, school, and she enjoys playing sports in her free time. Rileigh enjoys attending the community events such as the summer concerts and movies at the Huron Boat Basin.
Denver Kazmierczak – Princess Contestant #1
Denver is the 5-year-old daughter of Thomas & Irene Kazmierczak. She enjoys riding her bicycle and scooter. Denver loves school, barbies, the beach, and the park. Her favorite food is blueberries and strawberries.
Ava McFee – Princess Contestant #2
Ava is the 6-year-old daughter of Jim and Nicole McFee. She enjoys playing outside and spending time with her family. Ava’s favorite things are ballet, cheerleading, and puppies.
Tatum Collins – Princess Contestant #3
Tatum is the 5-year-old daughter of Bryan and Krista Collins. She loves to read books, cook with her mom, and play with her toys. Tatum enjoys riding her bike with no training wheels. She also loves to dance at BPAC and play softball.
