Queen and Royalty

Caylin McCormick, freshman, Huron High School is the daughter of Jessica McCormick. Being active in her school and community, she is an actor with the Caryl Crane Youth Theatre who took their show to Atlanta, Georgia and won outstanding performance. She is a member in the band, choir, basketball and volleyball and volunteers for New Day, Admirals Pointe and makes cookies for the Huron Fire and Police Department. She sings in her church choir. Caylin was chosen over 3,000 people to go to New York to film a dance video. Last year in 8th grade, she won Student of the Year and received a music award. Caylin helps younger theatre actors to be the best that they can be and inspires younger people in church school to want to worship God.

Alaina Parkinson, junior, Huron High School, is the daughter of Elizabeth (Betsy) Johnson and Al Parkinson, Alaina is active in her school and her community. She was secretary of the Student Council as a freshman, a member of the School Chorale and the Troubadours, is a camp counselor for 4-H Erie County Camp, a member of Caryl Crane Youth Theatre as a singer, dancer and actor, a member of the Teen Board at CCYT, and is a member of the Theatre Competition Team. In her Huron community she donated her time to park and beach clean-up, visits and sings at nursing homes and is a concession stand volunteer. Alaina recently joined a band called “The Stereotypes” and is the lead singer. Alaina is on the Huron River Fest Court. She motivates and mentors younger theatre members and camp goers to be the best that they could possibly be.
